The Deer Shelter

The Deer Shelter is a short horror film filmed at the Deer Shelter Skyspace in Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Set beneath its strong concrete arches and open view of the sky, the film imagines something ancient watching quietly from the edges, caught between the natural landscape and the man-made, concrete structure.

Shot on a calm, empty day at one of my favourite locations, the project plays with contrast, turning a place designed for calm and reflection into something uneasy. I used the natural sounds of the sheep in the background with some sound effects to create building tension.
